We made it easier to escalate and report any Unusual Activity to ivari’s Compliance Department.
Reason for submitting a UAR to ivari
In keeping with ivari’s regulatory responsibilities under Financial Transaction and Report Analysis Center of Canada (FINTRAC) and other regulatory bodies, insurers must ensure all advisors acting on ivari’s behalf and distributing ivari products have an escalation platform to send an Unusual Activity Report (UAR) to ivari’s Compliance Department for investigation.
“Unusual activity” includes concerns about money laundering, terrorist financing, fraud, privacy, and/or market conduct.
To access the new Unusual Activity Report (UAR), take these steps:
- On the webcappow homepage, under the Quick links section, we have added a new link for Unusual Activity Report
- Click on the link, and it will bring you to the page where you can select the type of unusual activity.
For additional details check the Unusual Activity Report (UAR) process for a description of what your responsibilities are, and what steps to take.
ivari made updates to the Compliance & Legal page.
These include:
- Updates to the Compliance Handbook for Advisors
- Updates to the Anti-Money Laundering section
- A new section on how to process and escalate Unusual Activity Reports to ivari
