We are excited to announce that together with iPipeline, a leading provider of digital solutions for the life insurance and financial services industries, we have launched two new Application Programming Interfaces (APIs) that supply real-time updates for Current Cash Surrender Value and Paid to Date data.
- The Current Cash Surrender Value API helps provide up-to-date financial information to clients
- The Paid to Date API verifies a client’s premium payments to help prevent policy lapses
These are just the first two APIs implemented from the CLIEDIS API Roadmap.
How this will help you
An API, or Application Programming Interface, allows different software applications to communicate with each other. Simply put, it acts as a bridge between different software systems, enabling them to seamlessly exchange data. In our case, this means that distributors and advisors can access information on-demand, in real-time, without having to wait for a data feed to be updated.
“ivari is tremendously excited to be the first in the industry to be able to service our distribution partners using CLIEDIS’ API standards. This way of exchanging information in real time proved to be much easier to implement than traditional feeds, and the designs employed are scalable to include additional data going forward.” – – Mike Daicoff, Vice President, IT and CIO at ivari.
Designed to meet your needs
The CLIEDIS API Roadmap outlines industry-level APIs that have been prioritized based on feedback from the industry. These APIs are prioritized and designed to provide the most benefit to distributors, advisors, and their customers.
Although the launch was limited to select distributors these APIs will soon be available for all iPipeline customers who also do business with ivari.
CLIEDIS is a not-for-profit association that supports the Canadian life and health insurance industry through the advancement of electronic data exchange. You can read more about their API roadmap on their website.
