Way to go...you're as close to perfect as it gets! You have some great healthy habits now and there's always room for more!
Get on the road to wellness one step at a time. For example, the recommended weekly total of physical activity is 150 minutes, in bouts of at least 10 minutes. Take a 10-minute walk every other day, and then gradually increase the time and frequency. You'll soon be well on your way to leading a more physically active lifestyle!
Choose one category and open your mind to new ways to conquer it. For example, you can up your veggie intake without actually eating more broccoli. Add a cup a day of vegetable juice and you'll be 2 servings closer to the recommended target of 7 fruit and vegetable servings a day.
Increasing research links too much sedentary behaviour - otherwise known as 'sitting time' - to more than just weight gain. There are links to diabetes, heart disease, blood clots, and cancer. If you have to sit for long periods of time, get up and walk around every now and again – even two minutes helps. Get up and get going…stay healthy!
Pharmacists can be great allies when it comes to wellness. Take advantage of the one-on-one annual consultation with a pharmacist available in many provinces. It's a great opportunity to go over your medications and discuss ongoing health issues like diabetes or heart disease, or lifestyle challenges like smoking. Most pharmacists also offer services like printed medication schedules, pill blister packs, and larger-text medication labels.
Stay in top shape by following all the recommended guidelines for medical tests. Schedule an annual medical check-up, or more often if you have known medical issues. Also be sure to have any additional tests recommended for your age or genetic or ethnic background. Picking up medical issues early gives you your best shot of staying healthy.

My Goal List

Whether you're a Wellness Whiz or Out of Shape, everyone needs to think about setting some health goals! Use the space provided to add some of your own and then print them off as a friendly reminder.
Not sure what goals to aim for? How about some of these for inspiration...
I will eat more fruits and veggies! I'll have a fruit for dessert at the end of each meal.
I will park further at the grocery store, mall or work and walk a little further. (Alternatively, I will get off 1 stop earlier when taking transit and walk the extra distance).
I will spend 5-10 minutes before bed to reflect on my day and for positive contemplation.
Now you try!
For my stay healthy goals, I will...
